Signing Up for SpotCrime Alerts

This post is going to show you how to sign up for SpotCrime and how to navigate our webpage.

You may have noticed that we have two log-in boxes on the SpotCrime homepage. They have separate functions. One is for new user signups, the other one is for existing users to sign in.

Signing Up:

To sign up for SpotCrime:

1. Type your email address

(this will double as your username).

2. Type your password as you would like it to be

(passwords are case-sensitive).

3. Enter the address that you would like to receive alerts for

(home, office, etc.).

4. Click the "Sign Up Free!" button.

5. You're almost done... Next, you will see this screen.

This is your profile page. Any adjustments that you need to make to your profile can be done here. Enter your name, make sure that your full address is listed, and indicate the radius distance for alerts around your address here. When you are done, hit Submit and your information is saved. Your registration is complete!

Now that you are an existing user, here is how you sign in each time you return to the SpotCrime page.

Signing In

This is the existing user sign-in box.

If you look at the picture of the homepage at the top of this post,

you'll see it on the right side of the webpage.

1. Enter your email address into the username field.

2. Enter the password that you signed up with into the password field.

3. Hit Go, and you're logged in.
